Autonomous Driving
This site provides documentation for the Autonomous Driving Platform, related tools, and courses at UT Austin.
Overview
To get started, begin by configuring your computer to connect to the car over WireGuard VPN. Then, read through the Car Bringup guide to bring up your car for the first time. If you've received a car as part of the FRI Autonomous Driving course, the car bringup steps have already been completed for you.
Once your car is ready to go, you can begin with the tutorials.
Course Information
These materials support hands-on robotics education at UT Austin, including the FRI Autonomous Driving stream and related undergraduate and graduate courses on the UT-AUTOmata 1/10th scale platform. The platform runs on NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano hardware with JetPack and ROS 2.
